Mastering Kungfu is a lifelong endeavour and regardless of your ambitions, we support you in achieving them the best you can. Whatever your objective and the time and energy that you commit, we customise your training to your own needs.
Chinese Kungfu is generally divided into southern and northern styles. Our school follows the southern style, whose main characteristic is in its mostly short and sharp power applied in actual fighting, making it very suitable for close-in combat. We pay much attention to improving your gongli (meaning power/hardness/speed), without which any of the techniques that you will learn would be good-looking but ineffective. Internal exercises, such as Qigong, are also an integral part of our training programs and will strengthen your breathing and firmness. Only by combining inner and outer powers together, you can achieve the highest levels of Kungfu.

At our Kungfu Family we run a wide variety of courses and training options so as to best suit individual needs. On arrival, Master Li Quan will conduct a personal interview with you to establish your training needs and agree with you a training program which best suits these needs. Since people are very different in how they learn and what they like, he tries to find the best teaching approach for every individual. You can always discuss with the teacher in order to have your training schedule and course contents adjust to your specific needs and interests. For example, you may choose to specialise in certain arts, styles, weapons, and techniques. You may also wish to receive one-to-one tuition by the Master, particularly if you have specialist training requirements. This undivided attention helps you to reach your highest potential within the shortest possible time.
Class times change slightly with the seasons and teaching plans may be personally adjusted for individuals according to their training program or goals. While there are set daily times, training facilities are available at any time of your choosing. In addition, our trainers are available outside class to support you with all your needs. There is also sufficient free time for relaxing your body, socialising with your Kungfu brothers and sisters, as well as for our additional activities, such as excursions to places such as as the holy Buddhist mountain Emei Shan. Besides, there are abundant opportunities for learning Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, music, and of course Mandarin Chinese language and Martial Arts philosophy.
We want you to have an unforgettable experience while training, and also while participating in our other activities. Whether training with monks in mountain temples or making new friends while enjoying the rich culture scene of Chengdu, we promise you, your time with us will never get boring!
